Epitalon / Epithalamin Tetrapeptide
Epithalon (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) is a synthetic tetrapeptide analog of epithalamin, a natural polypeptide extracted from the pineal gland. Preclinical research has investigated its role in activating telomerase, elongating telomeres in somatic cells, regulating melatonin production, and modulating neuroendocrine function. It is used as a research tool in aging biology, longevity research, and circadian rhythm studies.
Research Benefits
Documented areas of investigation based on peer-reviewed preclinical and clinical literature. For research reference only.
Studied for telomerase activation and telomere length maintenance in aging research.
Supports mitochondrial function and NAD+ dependent metabolic pathways.
Investigated for PARP-mediated DNA damage repair and genomic stability.
Modulates antioxidant defense systems and reactive oxygen species in aging models.
