Thymosin Beta-4 Fragment
TB-500 is a synthetic peptide fragment of the naturally occurring protein Thymosin Beta-4 (Tβ4). The active region of Tβ4 responsible for actin binding and cellular migration is replicated in TB-500. Preclinical studies have explored its role in promoting angiogenesis, reducing inflammation, and accelerating wound closure. It has been studied in models of cardiac repair, corneal healing, and dermal wound healing.
Research Benefits
Documented areas of investigation based on peer-reviewed preclinical and clinical literature. For research reference only.
Supports rapid tissue repair and wound closure mechanisms in preclinical models.
Promotes cellular migration and proliferation essential for tissue regeneration.
Modulates inflammatory pathways to support the healing environment.
Supports collagen synthesis and extracellular matrix remodeling.
Literature
Promoted angiogenesis and endothelial cell migration in in vitro assays
Reduced infarct size in rodent myocardial infarction models
Accelerated corneal wound healing in rabbit models
Anti-inflammatory effects observed via NF-κB pathway modulation
