GHRP-2 (Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-2, pralmorelin) is a synthetic hexapeptide agonist of the ghrelin/growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHS-R1a). It is one of the most potent GH secretagogues studied, producing robust GH release via both direct pituitary stimulation and hypothalamic GHRH amplification. Unlike Ipamorelin, GHRP-2 also stimulates appetite and has modest effects on cortisol and prolactin at higher doses. It is used as a reference GHS-R agonist in GH axis, appetite regulation, and ghrelin pathway research.
