Sermorelin (GHRH 1-29 NH₂) is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the first 29 amino acids of endogenous growth hormone-releasing hormone, representing the shortest fully active fragment. It stimulates the pituitary gland to produce and secrete GH in a physiological, pulsatile manner. Preclinical and clinical research has studied its role in GH deficiency models, IGF-1 elevation, and age-related GH decline. It is used as a reference GHRH agonist in growth hormone axis research.
